James set up his studio in 2012. This studio is the place that allows James to craft his extraordinary works of art, including his masterful collection of plaster sculptures, feather lamps and exquisite furniture. Drawing on a finely tuned vernacular of classical references, along with his keen eye for detail from his interior designer perspective, and cut through with a surreal sense of humour, the work of his studio mirrors the juxtaposition of aesthetics unique to both Aynhoe Park and Parnham Park.

Ideal to be featured in the collection of any art curator, limited editions are created of each piece and are available exclusively through the modern grand tour website.

A Modern Grand Tour

Exuding a playful luxury that instantly captures your attention, it’s no wonder that James’ interior projects have been seen in magazines across the world.

James’ passion for architecture and interior design has accumulated to the launch of his new furniture range.

Taking inspiration from his very own residencies, Aynhoe Park and Parnham Park, his two new collections of seating-furniture and decorative pieces are classic in design, paying homage to Sir John Soane’s classic clean tone and shape and Sir John Nash’s gothic touches, but with the inimitable style of James’ harmonious touch.
